Newborn Sessions

My approach to newborn sessions is natural and authentic. While I provide guidance on where to lay the baby, I avoid using poses, swaddling, or excessive props beyond a blanket or basket.

Although newborn sessions are typically recommended up to 14 days old, I enjoy capturing babies up until about 6 weeks old. My sessions are not restricted by age since I don't rely on the baby sleeping for poses. In fact, I prefer it when they are awake!

Typically, the session lasts for 60 minutes, but it may extend up to two hours. You need not worry if your baby requires feeding, changing, or settling during the session, as this is expected. I allow ample time for each session to accommodate such situations.

To get the best out of your photos I recommend wearing neutral colours (beige, white and browns) as they compliment the photography style of Moments by Demi. It’s really important to avoid bright, bold colours and large prints or logos.

For at-home sessions, please ensure that the rooms you intend to use are clean, tidy, and free of clutter.

Apart from preparing yourself, family and home, there’s not much more you will need to do.

A family session includes up to two adults and three children. For larger families or if you want Grandparents to take part, then please message me for a quote.

Dogs and cats are also welcome to join in on the session.
